Post A Week: WordPress Project
As someone who likes to torture herself with a million little projects all running at the same time, I’m pretty excited to join the Post A Week Challenge from WordPress. (Check out The Daily Post for more information.)
Basically, this means I’ll be posting something weekly on the topic the blog above spits out… and today it’s music that makes me cheery when I’m down.
My answer? Slow, melodramatic tunes that build up – a la Interpol.
Specifically Interpol because their music has this calming, drugging effect on my mind & body. I can run to them, I can do yoga to them, I can unwind after work. Really, anything, and I blame the former bassist’s skill on that.
Enough on me. What about you?

Good Luck with the Challenge.
My visit to your blog is part of my blog challenge this week. Look to be mentioned in my next post.
I sent out a challenge to bloggers in the WordPress Challenge to take part in the RandomBlog2011 Challenge. You can read more about it in my post.

Pingback: or not – RandomBlog2011 Challenge Day 7 « Things in life I find annoying
Hi I came across your blog from the randowm blog challenge http://whatsbuggingmetoday.wordpress.com/2011/02/20/or-not-randomblog2011-challenge-day-7/
and when I read your interest in your about me section:
“collecting seeds, making things with my hands, baking, cooking, gardening, crafting, and taking pictures. I started this blog as a means of sharing everything from art to recipes (which is a form of art in itself, right?), from crafts to news & reviews. So grab a cup of tea & join me!
I felt really excited to find another blogger with the same interests!!
I’ve subscribed to your blog and look forward to reading more of your posts…I can’t stop for a cuppa right now though as I am in the middle of planting a succulent…Mr P has dug a hole…and both are awaiting my attention. So will catch you a little later!!
kind regards
PiP
Thank so much, PiP!
Music has such an impact on our lives, doesn’t it. it can stir up memories from long ago, soothe out soul, fill us with energy, and allow us to express our hearts.
welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. You have a lot of interests so your blog will be interesting too!!
walk in beauty.
Thank you, Joss
Hi, I’ve decided to to join the Post A Week Challenge from WordPress, too.
My answer is cheerful music like fripSide(Japanese artists).
Good luck!
Hi Awesome!
Good to meet you. My friend Rose suggested I pop by to say hello so here I am.
Nice place you have. I look forward to catching up with you.

Thank you, Joe!
Hi! I got here through ClassyRose’s site.
Interpol and electric basses are awesome on the ears! Although what’s not too awesome is the whole Carlos D situation thing that happened
My “cheery tune” would probably have to be Sofa Song by The Kooks.
I think you just inspired my next post, but nonetheless love yours as well!
Thanks! A lot of people have, which is shocking for me as I’m not used to this kind of attention. I agree about the Carlos D thing, and what kills me is that I had a chance to see them live right before he left, but decided against it because of work
Well thanks for the love! I shall look up this song by the Kooks.
Pingback: or not – Sunday At Last « Things in life I find annoying
Hi Amy, nice to meet you. I got here through Rose’s latest post http://whatsbuggingmetoday.wordpress.com/2011/02/27/or-not-sunday-at-last/
so I thought I’d check out your blog. You have a lot of interests – how do you keep on track with them all? I’m looking forward to reading your posts.
Barb
Thanks & welcome Barb!
I have something like ADHD so my mind’s always wandering. Having plenty of interests helps relieve boredom.
I’m a bit stuck in the 50s and 60s. But after last night’s television Drama, West Riding, I really fell for the 30s music. Must see if I can buy some.
